The Gnosi Research Group, domiciled at the Department of Philosophy at the University of Calabar in Nigeria, is a self-sustaining non-profit organisation. Consequently, the publication fee is necessary to cover Gnosi Journal's operating expenses, such as electronic composition and typesetting; review management; proofreading; archiving, where applicable, in internationally recognised, open-access repositories; editorial and administrative costs with unlimited space for figures, extensive data, and video footage; and web hosting. Gnosi Journal is an open-access publication that does not charge for subscriptions since it is freely available online. All submissions to Gnosi Journal are presumed to adhere to the fee-based, open-access publication model. If the article is approved for publication, the authors will be required to pay 50 United States Dollar or the equivalent in Euros as an article publishing fee to cover running expenses. The payment method will be specified in the letter of acceptance. On the Gnosi Journal website, published articles can be assessed online for free.

Depending on the quality of the work and other specific factors, Gnosi: An Interdisciplinary Journal of Human Theory and Praxis gives complete exemptions to papers whose corresponding authors reside in countries classified by the World Bank as low-income economies. Gnosi Journal has the right to accept or deny any waiver request. Requests submitted during the review process or after acceptance will not be considered. Once a paper is published, the author is responsible for payment, and no refunds will be granted. The publication charge is non-refundable after both the payment and the manuscript have been validated and processed.
